Andrew Berglund, LCSW
Andy was intensively trained in DBT in 1999 and 2000 and as of 2021 has become the first DBT-Linehan Board Certified Clinician in Maine. He has been providing individual DBT treatment and facilitating DBT skills training classes ever since, and is one of the co-founders of Greater Portland DBT. Andy is married, lives in South Portland, and has 3 daughters.
Andy co-leads the GPDBT adult skills training groups in Portland, Maine. He provides individual treatment to adults and adolescents at his private practice in Portland, Maine.
Trisha Brink, LCSW
Trisha has been applying DBT to her individual work with clients since 2006 and has been co-facilitating skills training classes since 2007. She is also one of the co-founders of Greater Portland DBT. Trisha specializes in the application of DBT to the treatment of eating disorders, body image, depression and anxiety. She loves getting outside and spending time with family and her adorable bulldog.

Echo Dixon, LCSW
Echo has been working in the mental health field since 1994, and began offering individual and group DBT therapy in 2011. Echo is fluent in American Sign Language and has specialized in institutional abuse specific to Maine’s Deaf Community. She served the legislature in collecting stories of the abuse in order to impact law. Echo has two dogs and 3 cats (one was a rescued disabled cat), and she enjoys laughter, and making bread.

Cindy Rounds, LCPC
Cindy has been in the field of mental health since 2001 and has been a licensed clinical mental health counselor since 2005, initially licensed in New Hampshire and then in Maine in 2007. Cindy works with adults and adolescents and is extensively trained in DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) and TF-CBT (trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy). Cindy has been using DBT since 2006 and has co-facilitated both adult and adolescent groups as well as previously functioning as a DBT Team Leader at a local mental health agency. Cindy enjoys being in nature with her family, hiking, traveling, cooking, and watching ice hockey. She has two rescue dogs that she loves playing with.

Colin Routh, LCSW
Colin received a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in 2015. He moved to Maine that year to work with youth and families in day treatment and residential facilities. Since that time, he received his DBT intensive training through Behavioral Tech, as well as DBT for Adolescents and DBT for Children. Colin incorporates these trainings as well as his experience with the ARC treatment model and TF-CBT, in his work with clients who have trauma histories, PTSD, DMDD and BPD. Colin has been a member of GPDBT since Summer of 2020. Outside of this, Colin has interests in how fitness and nutrition can serve as significant pieces to one’s mental and physical health and incorporates these into his daily life.
As part of Greater Portland DBT Colin co-facilitates adult skills group, works with both adults and adolescents individually and has interest in adolescent skills group.
Melissa White, LCPC
Melissa began her work in mental health in 2010 and graduated from Capella University in 2011. She has since been extensively trained in DBT and has provided both individual and group DBT treatment in various settings. Melissa is also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Melissa enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, as well as going to the beach.

Susan Martin, PMHNP
Susan Martin is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a practice in the Old Port, where she conducts psychiatric evaluations and provides psychopharmacological treatment for adolescents and adults. After spending over 20 years as a clinical psychotherapist, she returned to academia and received a Master’s degree in Nursing from the University of Southern Maine. Her range of expertise includes working with major depression, bipolar disorder, general anxiety disorder, panic disorder, ADD/ADHD, binge eating disorder, and other psychiatric illnesses. Susan likes to enjoy all the outdoor activities Maine has to offer!
David Walter, DO
David Walter D.O. is a board certified child and adolescent psychiatrist with a small private practice providing individual therapy and medication management for teens and young adults in treatment with Greater Portland DBT. Along with traditional psychiatric care, his approach to treatment includes applying mindfulness skills for those struggling with anxiety or depression or living with chronic illness. He has practiced meditation since his teens and has decades of experience with mindfulness, from leading meditation groups to writing on utilization of mindfulness in the treatment of IBD. He practices in a variety of settings including outpatient, residential treatment and the juvenile justice system.
